If you’re planning to lodge a review with the Administrative Review Tribunal, the cost of doing so has changed. From 1 July 2026, several ART application fees increased, and the timing of when you pay matters just as much as when you lodge.
What’s actually changed
The new fee amounts apply to any ART application fee paid on or after 1 July 2026, regardless of when the application itself was lodged. That’s an important distinction. Even if you submitted your review request before the change took effect, paying the fee after 1 July means you’re charged under the new schedule.
Updated ART fees
- Reviewable Migration Decision: now $3,727
- Reviewable Protection Decision: now $2,293
- Standard Application Fee: now $1,195
- Small Business Taxation Decision: now $641
- Guidance and Appeals Panel: now $1,195
The concessional circumstances fee remains unchanged at $100, offering some relief for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for a reduced rate.
